Liam Sweeney
Veterinarian
Liam joined our team after graduating from JCU in early 2019 and returning home to live in Cairns.
Liam realised from from a young age he was destined to work with animals after going missing at the Cairns Tropical Zoo to crawl around with ducks!
A recent highlight of Liam's time with MCVH was performing a lifesaving emergency abdominal surgery as a new graduate with Dr Steven's assistance, at 2.00 am in the morning.
As a pet owner to two dogs Ruth and Walter and ragdoll Martha, Liam appreciates how much pets mean to their owners and takes pride in performing the same level of care as he does for his own.
